Our Purpose & Mission
Our purpose and mission is to guide and support the undergraduate membership of the Beta Chi
Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, financially, in their community service pursuits,
academic initiatives, occupational aspirations, award scholarships to worthy Hampton
University students, and to pioneer pertinent studies for the betterment of the Hampton
University and alumni.

Introducing the Kapex Achievement Academy: Bridging the Gap for Black Male Students
The Kapex Foundation proudly presents our groundbreaking initiative launched in September 2024 to address the achievement gap facing Black male students. Join us in supporting this vital program as we build future leaders through mentorship, community, and academic excellence.




Building Confidence On and Off the Mat: David Tator’s Internship with The Little Gym
One of the Kapex Foundation Achievement Academy’s goals is to connect undergraduate men with meaningful internship and career opportunities. During the summer of 2025, member David Tator secured an internship with The Little Gym in Washington, D.C., where he helped children build confidence and coordination through structured play and gymnastics activities. In addition to supporting daily operations, David gained hands-on experience in customer relations, scheduling, and financial management—insight that deepened his understanding of how business decisions drive performance.

Shawn Hamilton spent over 20 years working as a production accountant in New York and New Jersey, keeping track of budgets and managing tax credits for television programs and movies.
